One of the main parameters of the electrospinning process is the nature and viscosity of the solution. In order to obtain homogeneous fibers, the electrospinning fiber material must be carefully chosen. Each electrospinning solution has unique viscosity and characteristics that influence the thickness and aggregation of the fibers. These parameters will influence the application of the resulting coating.
We present here a summary of the most used electrospinning polymers and solvents, so to have a good reference to generate fibers with ND-ES Lab Electrospinning Unit. In the attached document you will find more than 40 polymers suitable for electrospinning, alongside the most common solvent used for each polymer, reference concentrations and their most common applications.
